We welcome all of you by reciting a verse from the Holy Quran: “And say: truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Surely falsehood is ever bound to vanish.” (Sura:Bani Israil’- 17:81). We extend to you the greatest greeting of all greetings: Assalamualaikum Wa Rahmutullahi Wa Barakatuhu. 2 July 2007, 14 Jamadius Sani 1428 and 18 Ashar 1414, we opened our door to the public. This was indeed a proud moment for us. It marked the birth of yet another Sharia-based finance company and a milestone in the history of the people of Bangladesh. Let the birth of this company, Hajj Finance Company Limited, or in short, HFCL, be a living proof that Islam is a way of life. HFCL follows the model of Hajj Fund of Malaysia, popularly known as “Tabung Haji” which provides Hajj savings facilities and Hajj package. Established about 40 years ago, Tabung Haji is a great success. It is one of the giant financial institutions in Malaysia now with about 5 million depositors, RM15 billion (Taka 300 billion) accumulated deposits and investment in plantation, manufacturing, real estates, construction, services and IT and communication sectors. It has made it possible for millions of Malaysians, rich and poor, to perform their Hajj. It inculcates saving habit resulting in a significant increase in the volume of savings of the Muslims.
